It's Like Watching Clay Dry

I have just finished the final making of the trim and here it is, set to dry. Not the most exciting post, I realize, but that is why I choose the title I did. I have a feeling there's going to be some rework. I can even see some mistakes just in this picture, but I'm done with this stage of the dining room remodel for now.

Hi,

I found your blog by doing a search for attic remodels. I live in Portland (Sellwood to be specific) and would like to remodel my attic. I was wondering if you contracted the work out or did it yourself. If you contracted out and were satisfied with the contractor would you please pass that person's contact info on to me? BTW I just recently installed a Round Oak wood stove - it came out pretty nice - I'll send you some pics. Please Contact me at casavega@comcast.net

thanks

Max

Max-
For the attic remodel, I contracted out until my loan ran out, and then I completed it myself. That was the easy part though - interior trim, and painting.
The contractor was fantastic. Nick Weitzer is his name and his company is called NWC. I don't think I could have found a better contractor.

Hey Joe, I think it is really cool what you are doing with this old farm house. I think some of the work you have done will inspire me to add to the collection of tips and advice we post at Move.com. Let me know how the farm house is working out I would love to have a longer blog to draw advice from about the clay.
