Last weekend I painted the den walls, the panel wainscoting in the dining room, the den ceiling and finally the dining room walls. It was a long arduous weekend but I had to act on the motivation the newly refinished floors gave me.
Here's the dining room so far:
The color is called "Tankard" and is more of a brownish-gray, in case it appears different on your monitor. It's a Miller Paint color, but I had them mix it in Benjamin Moore. I selected the color on a whim, and I'm surprised how much I like it.

Gorgeous, gorgeous. Everything is looking fantastic!
Wow.....gutsy choice but I love it. It's crisp and shows off that "to die for" tile and stove. The ceiling stands out against the wall color also. Perfect.....great job.

Thank you very much for the compliment.

The crisp look was what I was striving and after going back and forth on color mixtures and many paint swatches, I just picked one that I hadn't considered, and just got a gallon.
The ceiling standing out was completely unexpected so I was stoked when I saw that too.
oh my god,it looks so beautiful,I really love the color with the white!!!!!!
Joe - the paint looks great!! have you picked a light fixture yet? I think you should do a wrought iron hanging light.
Ted you're right....wrought iron would be perfect. It would really set off the stove. I loooove that stove.
I think dynochick is the smartest dynochick i've ever known.
quick question.... is that ceiling covered with anaglypta wallpaper or is that the vinyl tiles that you glue up?
