This is what I have uncovered:
At least it gives me an idea of when the wall was modified - 1982. Sort of interesting. Sort of not.
Wow! Corn Flakes were only 69 cents! Ohhhhh, those were the days....
I ended up putting back the newspaper in the wall, though I think it's original intent was insulation. I thought it'd be fun to link the modification to the date. I'll do the same with my remodel - add the sketches and planning, along with some newspaper articles.

Your place is great. Love the yard! We pulled the plaster from our walls and found some newspaper too. It was used for insulation. From the sixties and a nice article on Nixon. When we drywalled we put the front page from the local paper, a dollar and a note to the next person to see inside the walls. Fun to think of them finding it.
So, it the Diner still in business?
Thanks for the compliment. You've got a great house too!
A note stuffed in the wall is a fantastic idea. Hopefully, the owners that find it will appreciated the house as much as I do.
Ponzi Vineyards is still around but I don't know if they still serve the blue cheese burger. Sure sounds good about now though....
A "nice" article about Nixon?
